GOOGONG SPILLWAY OVERFLOWING - VIDEO

After heavy rain over the weekend Canberra's dam system is 100% full and overflowing. This video from ACTEW Corporation YouTube shows the newly finished spillway gushing with water from a bloated dam.

"The extraordinary rainfall in the Canberra region throughout 2010 has brought the region's dam levels up to 100% capacity for the first time in 12 years. The rain has also stimulated tremendous flora and fauna activity. The newly completed Googong Dam Spillway was christened on December 3rd in spectacular style."

  1. Seems to be more water about than usual this year! Or is it that I am just hearing about it more than usual?

  2. I've grown webbed feet the last few weeks Keith. Our dams are full, the rivers are flowing, grass a yard tall and all the lambs are fat. And theres more rain to come. Cheers Dave
