CORIN FOREST TRAIL CAMERA

I set a trail camera out in Namadgi (a few km east of Corin Forest) four days ago. I was expecting some footage of feral pigs actually as I'd seen them near the creek before. The area is signposted as having been baited so this may simply be a sign of that programs effectiveness.

I did manage to capture a few very cute forest inhabitants and one most perplexing picture. Frankly I have no idea on what i could be but it appears to look like long groomed hair. The camera was set to take one picture followed by 10 seconds of video. No video was captured after the photo suggesting that whatever it was only entered the field of view briefly.

Anyway... you may know what it is.

    1. Thanks Jude! I thought that first up but I'm leaning towards hair. I've had bird, Persian feral cat tail and Billy goats beard suggested so far :) I'm going with Nordic blond Namadgi backpacker... laying down... on a pig track lol

  2. Excellent Dave. I haven't had a chance to set my new trail cam out yet. Been raining almost non-stop the last several days. Creeks are flooding. Nice to see sunshine this morning. That's a plus in my book.

    1. Best to wait for good weather anyway Bob. When I set the camera out those two wet weeks it didn't capture much. I think the critters go to ground.

  3. Great stuff as usual Dave, love it. That last shot should start some rumours! No idea what that beastie might be. I thought it looked like long hair.
How about another trial on the same track mate, see if you can capture a better image?
All the best, keep em coming.
    Regards, Keith.

  4. My guess is that it is an animal's tail. In low light these cameras have a slow shutter speed and I've had shots of moving deer that make it look like some kind of weird creature warping its shape..
